With all the stick Naomi Campbell is getting for alledgedly accepting diamonds off Charles Taylor, why isn't anybody criticising Nelson Mandela?
It was his party, it was his house and he invited him.

politics makes strange bedfellows, I guess. They were both heads of state at the time, weren't they? Mandela always did his best to stay on good terms with African leaders. I suppose he could no more tell Taylor to get lost than the queen can tell the pope to do so, whatever their private feelings.
Surely everyone knows that Mandela is beyond reproach.
"politics makes strange bedfellows"... Edwina Currie and John Major - yuck!!!!
yes, even stranger when they're literally bedfellows...
is mandela beyond reproach?

It is very true that in politics you have to be wiiling to do business with people you don't like.
But if Taylor is so awful, then really he shouldn't have been invited, was Mugabe there?
