I have been told there is nothing to get rid of the scratches on the plastic inside your car.
I refuse to accept that. Would anyone happen to know what gets rid of them? Or any ideas on what might work?

Many Thanks

You have to remember you don't remove scratches, you remove the material around the scratch until it is level with the bottom of the scratch.

so if it's on a textured plastic surface you will never be able to make it look good again, if you rub down the area around the scratch you will be removing the surface texture of the plastics and at best you will end up with a shiny untextured spot where the scratch used to be. If it's already a shiny untextured surface then you may be able to rub the surrounding material down so the scratch is not visible and then polish the plastics back to shiny, but in reality what your more likely to end up with is just swapping one large scratch with hundreds of smaller ones over a larger area.
You fill it and restore the surface colour and texture.
So in your case you must fill the scratch with plastic/vinyl and refinish.
Probably nigh on impossible.
It does not matter how much you do not except it you have to except it Tatonic, they will not come out to your standards, if you want the job doing to the Orig spec get a replacement part.
Many moons ago I was seriously thinking about buying a used Astra, The only thing that out me off was that the previous owner, when getting out of the car, obviously opened the door with his keys already in his hand. The result was the plastic was deeply marked and scratched. I pointed this out to the dealer whose respnse was
" Don't worry, we'll get that out for you" - which they did 100%. I take it it was filled, but I owned the car for a further 5 years and the marks never came back. So, somewhere, it can be done! Good luck tatonic :-)
