US Candy Bar -'Payday'

I absolutely adore these nutty bars, fudgy caramel covered in peanuts made by Hershey.

Trouble is, you don't get them in the UK too easily. l've saerched all the UK based US candy sites and they want a bloomin' fortune for them, i.e a quid or more!

Does anyone know of a website or source where I can get them for close to their original pricre of 50 pence or a dollar maybe?

Have you tried eating a snickers with a sprinkle of salt?!! I was given a taste of one of these when I was in America, and was surprised that they used salted peanuts. Sorry I can't help you with the problem though!

Selfridges in the Trafford Centre have a section with Hershey stuff.

My local Aldi has a huge stock of those peanut butter ones if you like those!!!!

Rod sterling that sounds identical to my favorite choc bar of all time. It was by Rowntrees and called "Nutty bar" http://www.aquarterof.../archives/nutty_bars/

It sounds identical to the one you mentioned but they were discontinued a long time ago. Could i just ask you have you tasted nutty bar and if so how does it compare to a Payday bar?

Hi 'fullofsorrow', yes, i did adore nutty bars and yes, payday are just like those, but i think payday is actually made with salted peanuts, not just roasted peanuts, which adds to the taste and satisfying flavour - oh, the calories!
