making mozilla my default browser

I have now decided to use Mozilla Firefox as my normal browser rather than IE8. It seems to be better and quicker. So, folks, how do I change the default settings so that Mozilla is the 'automatic' browser? For example, if someone sends me an email with a web address in it, and I click on that address, it automatically launches IE8. How do I get it to use Mozilla instead please?

in tools > advanced > general it says always check FF is default browser
Or in IE tools > options . > programmes you will see the option to 'make default' or the opposite as it is yr default
