My periods have been regular for over a year and settled down as they were all over the place... Dont normally have any problems each month at all apart from the odd twinge.

Anyways period came friday morning and i was in agony all day but managed ok until night time came when i just could'nt settle as was in so much pain.. Saturday morning i was in double agony and tried everything to try and calm it down.. painkillers.. hot bath.. hot water bottle etc etc ((TMI)) was losing a hell of alot compared to usual!

Saturday afternoon i started feeling rather hot and nearly blacked out on the mrs who had to catch me.. She apparently was talking to me and i just zoned out n slid down the wall with my eyes half open... So was frog marched to the couch to rest were my temperature was soaring all of a sudden again..

Since then ive not been right at all... Feeling really jittery.. in complete agony... im struggling with balance.. really pale and dont feel well... very drowsy too

Does anyone think there's a need to go see the doctor to check there isnt anything making this period suddenly worse all of a sudden??? Or do you think its just a once a year bad one if you get what i mean..

Should say the loss has eased right down but the pains n rest of symptons are at a all time high.. and no there is no chance of me being pregnant etc

Thanks to anyone who can help x

if you're blacking out, yes, see a doctor.
You did say "not one for the blokes" but your response has been so poor that perhaps you will allow me, a bloke, to give an opinion.

Two things come to mind:
1) Endometriosis
2) Pelvic inflammatory disease.

Is this a "once a year bad one?".....only time will tell.

If the symptoms are as bad as you say and your temperature is high, "in complete agony" then i would ask the doctor to visit.

However, if since you posted this question, things are settling down, then I would adopt a "wait and see" policy.
i would say that if your having severe pain and blacking out then you definatley need to see someone. You could possibly have a infection of some sort or pelvic inflamatory disease amonst others. Get well soon xxx
I thank you should go to the doc? They might help you? The might give you med?Juist relax!! and you might feel better!!??
