Why is my mobile losing charge.....

My 2 year old Sony Ericsson is not keeping charged for more than a day-this is even when it has not been used. I tend to keep it on,and up until now,2-3 days was the norm.
This has happened before-earlier this year-it then reverted back to normal.

Thanks bradycat. I HAD thought of that...after I posted my question.....dohhhh..

If it went back to normal, then maybe it's because of a bluetooth device that it's trying to connect to. Whenever I have my Nokia near the device (always plugged in) then the battery seems to go flat quicker. 'because it's trying to connect' is what I was told. not sure how but seems to be right.
