Was dusting around computer (the whole apparatus went into shock) and I got what looks like black ink on cloth and fingers from the router. It's on the top of it where there are sort-of 2 parallel lines. Any clues? I am reluctant to ring broadband provider as once tried their advice line and it took over an hour of tosh before I gave up! I know that a clever ABer will know TIA.

And I was expecting this to be a question about IP traffic leakage!

I'd suspect from what you have said that something has leaked onto the router rather than the router leaking anything.
I've got a speedtouch router but can't see where anything can leak from...........

Thanks for your speedy replies. If it is a leak, it's sort of leaked upwards i.e. the ink(?) is on the top in the grooves. We did change ink in printer recently and had a hell of a job, so some might have accidentally dripped somehow. Moral:- do not dust and do not buy Epson printer as this one is awful (that's a very polite description).
