buenchico thought you were in your thirties lol...
My wooden spoon is the oldest thing that i have - handed down to me by mum....
i'm loathe to discuss any electrical goods - cos if i do then something is bound to break down.......
many things in ym house such as the cooker, freezer, microwave, telephone, deep fat fryer and hairdryer are as old if not older than me.
There's a scrubbing board somewhere in the garden shed. It might have been used in a skiffle group back in the 50's.
Oooh, thank you, Poodi.

I've not quite got my bus pass yet, but I'm definitely not in my thirties ;-)
I have a Sony clock alarm that was given to me when I left the brewery in 1988 (22 years ago) still going strong beside my bed.
I have a small table-top freezer that was my mum's, so I guess that's about 20 years old, still working.
I still have some hand garden tools that belonged to my Dad, long hoes and the like, they are a bit rickety now and they stand in the shed, but they are probably from the 1960s if not earlier (thankfully, he did not leave me the flame-thrower...).
I do have a pair of shoes, too, which I bought in my then home town in the January 1971 sale, before decimalisation - my mum didn't think I could find a pair of good leather shoes at under 30 bob - they cost me 29/11, that's about £1.49 in today's money. I can't get into them any more, but I certainly can't throw them away!
My 'Creda' tumble dryer at least 20yrs old & it's never broken down!
I have the same washing machine, tumble drier and cooker from when I got my first flat, almost 20 years ago. the cooker is looking a bit sad and the grill has packed in.

the original microwave still works (it's in the shed, not sure why!) but was replaced last year as it was a bit discoloured.
Ours is a Hotpoint kat but I think they were made by the same company. We also have a LEC fridge freezer which is 22 years old.
I have a Toshiba food processor that is 30 years old and a Speed Queen washing machine and a tumble dryer that are 16 years old.
Electrical appliances dont last long in my home but i still have some tupperware from the 70s
Well we still have our old Mitsubishi TV in our lounge, and the reception on the TV screen is still just as good.It doesn't have a SCART connector, but only a RF aerial socket.Plus it's also pretty big depth-wise. I think it's about 22" screen coz I just measured it.
My XP Athlon PC is a little old,but it still keeps on going despite it's noisy start whenever I switch it on.The cooling fan at the back wheezes a bit when it gets switched on, but it soon dies down. In fact, it's now purring along nicely.......nice kitty!!
:))
Why would anyone want to keep an old unsafe electrical fire hazard in their home? Id rather spend and buy brand new and feel safe then one day be electrocuted or one night wake up to my house on fire.
My feather pillow! Nearly as old as me, my mum gave to me when I married, I still have it, been washed soooo many times! I love it! will never par with it, though it's getting a little thin after all these years!..............
she's 41 and I can only say this as she has just gone to bed ...
