It wamentioned on the news the other day about the oldest women in Britain just having died 1 month before her 112 birthday. I just cant imagine what it must be like to be that age. Its nearly twice my age now. I dont think I would want to live that long, Ive enough ailments as it is. What others think about living that long ?

Well, 4get, you never know. If shes only been in a home 2 years and had lots of cash stashed away under floorboards etc as some old folk do, 2 years care would take a chunk of it I know but there could still be plenty left.
2 years in care home 50 in her own home, she still has to pay bills
I believe she's only been in this current place for two years T.O.H before that it was another town...(really)

In the dementia home where I work, the clients range from 70 to 104 I must say that the happiest clients are those with dementia without a doubt.

They say ignorance is bliss, generally speaking they don't have a care in the world, however some peoples dementia can have the opposite affect, that can be very distressing for staff and the client.

I would rather lose my mind than my bodily function.
As long as others don't have to assist my toilet sessions, don't have a problem living to 112.
