My mum is looking for some wide fitting shoes (she needs them as she has a dodgy big toe) that are suitable to wear to a wedding. All the sites I've looked at seem to think women with wider feet should wear lace up men-type shoes. Any idea who might sell shoes that are wide AND pretty??? Thanks

www.shoetailor.co.uk  these sell wide fittings at a not to bad price, also try evans as they sell wide fittings and again are not ugly!

Yes, Evans sell really nice shoes - they are they only high street shop that sell them wide enough for my feet.

Aside from Evans, Marks and Spencers do a wider fit range - although their designs are limited.

Have you looked at Van-Dal? They specialise in wider fitting shoes and have a lot of high heels/court shoe designs. You can get them in department stores like Debenhams or Selfridges, and some branches of high street shoe shops like Clarks.

In the Additions catalogue (and probably other catalogues too) they have a section of shoes that are wider fitting, I think the makes are shoebox and foot cushion, although not all of the shoebox ones are wider fitting a lot of them seem to be. They're all a good price too
