The intro chords to 'Thorn in my side'. Every tab i've seen says it's D - G - A. In fact the final acoustic chord (meant to be A), before the electric bit kicks in, sounds different to a straightforward A.....any ideas?

I used to play this in C with capo on the second fret and for the final G (transposed to A) i would play Gsus4 but i think to get the dave stewart sound it's a partial barre chord somewhere up the neck.....i'll noodle about when i get home from work and muck around on the Martin and see if i can fall across the proper chord for you.
I play it with an E shape moved up to the fifth fret (or an F if that makes it simpler, although it's technically an E shape). The barre being on the 5th fret which is an A chord. Sounds close enough for me.
