I care neither one way nor another that he is dead (as Gazza said he could have been in out in 12yrs cos he only killed one person ...........W TF?)

Anyway I have followed this and the police categorically denied deploying a Taser.

They have now admitted they did at the time of his death.

How much confidence do you have in the police (if you had any anyway beforehand) now?

I know Police to be the same as the rest of us-they cheat and lie -they are human.

What still rankles me is that policewoman sniggering on the TV last night when her colleague was reading out a card saying he was a nutter -that could have had horrendous consequences.

i once gave a witness statement for a missing tourist and said i hope ive been of help and the Policeman said the longer the better for us and rubbed his fingers like more dosh !!

I have no faith-what about you?

I used the example of the tragic Whitehaven massacre. The cops were 100yds away from him following him -he slowed at a junction and he went one way and the Police went the other way.

We have an expresssion 'Its a Bobbies job'-no-one forces those peeople to become Poilce Officers -its a fallacy they see it as a 'calling'.

I unfortunately have seen at first hand on numerous occasions when it was easier for them to turn a blind eye rather than do their job.

The police car following Cumbrian gunman Derrick Bird was close behind him but as they approached that junction he had just exited it so they briefly lost visual contact with his vehicle......Bird then (still out of sight of the police) immediately turned off onto a minor road so the police had split second decision to make - turn onto the minor road or stay on the main road?......unfortunately they chose (as most of us probably would have done) to keep to the main road...........this wasn't police incompetence, just an unlucky decision on their part

The above facts were highlighted on the recent Channel 4 documentary about the tragedy

I stand corrected joe -I didnt see the documentary just grainy footage -its a grey area whether in any such circumstances anyone would knowingly go to their death.

I think the day is almost upon us when out Police are armed as a matter of course like most Eurppean counties.

I visit Spain reguarly and in the small rural village we have a home the Police are armed and we dont even bat an eyelid.
