Aaaaaaaaaagh !!!

When you're waiting at the filling station, why does the person in front of you ...

... get in their car

... fiddle with their mirror (did it move while they were paying????)

... fish around for their sunnies (push them up on your head - then you don't lose them!!!)

... pat their pockets (NO ... you DIDN'T leave your wallet in the shop, f f s !)

... check their mirror again (it really is loose, isn't it !)

... pull on their seat belt (OMG ... HOW slowly can you do that ???)

... look around for their keys (f f s ... you were HOLDING them when you got in the car!!)

... start their engine (Hurrah)

... and then sit and watch to make sure the petrol gauge goes up (I SAW you filling the effing tank !!)

... check their mirror again (you REALLY need to get that mirror fixed !)

... and finally move away (sometimes cheerily waving back, to acknowledge that they've annoyed you)

INSTEAD OF

Getting in their car, moving out of my sodding way, and THEN doing all the above.

GRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!

In my experience it's always women who do the annoying things highlighted in your OP

btw, you forgot

.......Check their mobile phone to see if they've missed any calls/texts while they were filling up/paying.......and then fiddle about with said mobile as they make sure they place it securely in their in-car mobile phone holder
Be nice if you could press a button on the pumps corresponding to the amount you need in money terms. Save a lot of £10.01 and £20.01 amounts!

TTG ...

On some "pay at the pump" pumps, you can do that !

joeluke ... yes, you're right ... it is mostly women. But not me !!

I always pull away from the pump before I fiddle.

In fact, I quite often pull away from the pump before I go in to pay.
(to the men) do you always shake the petrol pump before pulling out much like we do at the urinal?
Question Author
I just hold the end up in the air until it stops dribbling.
Errr, Booldawg,

I personally don't "pull out" at urinals, I have no idea what you are doing at them if you do need to "pull out"
I always park so that i have to pull the whole hose round to the other side - and i do give it a damm good shake so that all of the petrol in the hose goes into the car - i'm not paying for petrol that accumulates in the hose line!

So glad it's not just me then!

EDDIE ...

Yes, it is true. The service stations tend to do a lot more snacks, so you fill up, move and park, pay for your fuel, and get a croissant and coffee.
I drove into Morrisons once to get fuel, there was a queue of about 4 vehicles all waiting for the filler hose to be on the right side for their cars and I sailed past them to the row of pumps with no vehicles in front and proceeded to fill up by stretching the hose round the other side. A bloke got out of one of the waiting cars and had a right go at me for "jumping the queue". I'm still wondering what else i was supposed to have done-if they want to be so dim, why did I have to join in?!

He sounds a real pea brain, horselady.

What can you say to people like that, except ... "Duuuh!!"
Years ago a local filling station had buttons for dispensing £x of fuel.
Don't seem to have caught on though.
