A hospital consultant has told me that I had a fracture at least 6months and possibly earlier before I actually had the injury. I didn't have an xray until 4weeks after I had fallen, and was told by A&E that I had the fracture. I have had a look at the xray but it doesn't look like the one I saw in A&E. There was never an issue about the fracture until I had a complaint about the GP. He even gave me Med Certs for it. How do I contest this and should I bother?

you got a fracture before you injured it?
What would be the point in "contesting" it? All are agreed now that you have a fracture, or do you want to contest that you do not have one? I don't understand. Medicine is NOT an exact science and doctors are human beings
