Sorry to hear that Tamirra - that happened to us 3 times when we sold our last house - ask the Estate Agent if there were any other parties interested before you were on the final leg of completing.

I say this, because the person who eventually bought our house, had enquired through one Agent about our house and was told it was sold.. it was only by chance they saw it on with another Agent and the deal was done. (:0 )

No that nasty smell is still there and just as bad as it was, got appointment again tomorrow prob for head xray this time, the smell gets worse when i bend to pick something up. Wish i lived in Scotland, would have moved ages ago. x

Think all agents are the same, they want their huge cut out the sale but dont do anything for it, just sit in there comfy chair in the office chatting and drinking coffee, and occasionally answering the telephone, if they can be bothered to. x

That's happened to us once before & yes, it's very upsetting & frustrating.

Our buyers dropped out just before exchanging, as they realised they couldn't meet the mortgage after all, so we lost the house we were after!

We were all down in the dumps for a while, but it was meant to be, as we found an even better house, which is the one we're living in now (since 1983).

I didn't unpack many boxes, as I did most of the conveyancing myself & hurried things along! Waiting for solicitors to pull their finger out is too frustrating for words!

My friend is 87 his wife died on Monday and his house sale fell through the day after
At the last minute,the so called "buyer"said the reason was the amount of steps ,she waited 6 weeks before she sent a letter,my friend had given most of his things to charity as he deceided to move into a home.This is so wrong I feel for you.

Oh, poor man in-a-mo, that really is an awful thing to happen to him - first his wife then the disruption due to all the other business. I do wish him well.

Sorry to hear that. Been there and got the t-shirt. 1999 Melton Mowbray. All packed up, everything labelled for the removal men and then I get the phone call from the estate agent. When I phoned my wife she was hysterical. The other good bit was the 17 year old kid they sent round to do the survey. What he knew about property you could have written on the back of a postage stamp. Thank god the new government got rid of Home Information Packs at least that's something.

Tamirra that is such a pain. Happened to one of my relatives the day before they were going to move, all booked, time off work, everything ready, solicitors said there was a problem. Three small children with all their stuff packed up - nightmare.... Good luck for next time, what a bind.
