If me on a Golf Gti, I would change at another 60-80K
I wouldn't wait for 60k miles madmondeo. Change it sooner just to be on the safe side. I've got a 1984 Mk 2 Golf and I change the belt every 4-5 years which is about 15-20,000 miles. It's only about £20 for the belt but I do have to fit a new water pump each time as that operates as the tensioner and the O ring is non-renewable. The whole thing takes about 2 hours and it cost me about £60 a couple of years ago. I always know the belt is good.
