It maybe hayfever, could take him docs and they may give him some tablets to ease it. In meantime if relly bad and bothering him, maybe soak some cotton wool in water and he can dab his eyes with that, amy soothe them a bit.
I was recommended to use a cold compress by my optician when I mentioned I get hayfever, I just soak a flannel in cold water, fold it up and lay with it on my eyes (closed) for a while, really helps.
sorry my spelling was terrible in last post! soz
haha, yeah who's amy and how does she soothe peoples eyes! :o) Actually quite like the cold compress thing even if my eyes aren't sore, especially in this hot weather

Thanks for that everyone I will try them and see how he gets on!
Sounds like hayfever. Try him on an eyewash, or take him to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if he/she can recommend anything ... if nothing else works, see your GP.
Cold tea bags work wonders, something to do with the tannin I believe.
Also I keep a tube of good old fashioned Golden Eye Ointment which is mildly antibiotic & very cheap from most chemists.
