extra lean mince

i bought a large pack of mince on sunday and cooked it last night i plan to split it into 3,overnight the amount of fat on it is ridiculous,how can i remove the fat without loosing half my mince and gravy,i think i read somewhere you can heat it up slightly and use kitchen role to absorb it,am i right????????

You've really got me going now. I would definitely go for it and take the bowl of cooked fatty mince and the packaging and have a real moan. I'd also ask to speak to the manager - not just the person on customer services. That's dreadful, what horrible quality. Chox.

just raked through the bin and found the packaging,it was £4 for that lean steak mince,750gms. 12% fat .its not cheap,i have put the pot in the fridge so the fat will just lift out its anout the same size and thickness as a dinner plate
