Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I am having some difficulty with:

11A Type of quartz crystal that has talen on the cubic form of fluorspar crystals by a process of substitution

43A Angle the needle of a compass makes with the horizontal plane. A suggested answer of magnetic ??? does not fit, in my xword, with 45D which I believe to be Thalia; the c would be where the of Thalia is.

5D Miguel de ? Basque writer etc. I have U?A?U?O

18D Central Asian river. The last letter is ?A, being the first letter of 38A, variously suggested as arbit, but might it be orbit or ambit?

Thoughts would be welcome. To the person who asked about sending in the Xword; I have sent it in four times, having finished it with everyone's help, but without result so far.

l have posted mine but the answer was ambit if I remember about a range of power. Good Luck as you say this is such an excellent site for help a really nice friendly group and whoever runs it do a great job for us to solve crosswords the best I have found.
