Was anyone else disappointed with the Dangerous Davies adaptation on Friday night. Peter Davison is definitely miscast although Sean Hughes wasn't too bad. I didn't feel that they'd captured the spirit of the books. I know this is always a problem with bringing novels to the screen but I don't know if it would have worked if I hadn't read the books. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be positively comparing Bernard Cribbins to another actor!

Well, I havent read the books (I didnt even know there were books - sorry!) but I thought it worked, and was good.
I thought it was brilliant BUT I haven't read the book ... yet. I intend to get it from the library next week.

Okay, it looks as though my preconceptions may have spoiled it a bit! Thanks for your views, and enjoy the book Wendy - there are four in the series I believe.
