Welcome to the world of Nokia phones! They are great phones but prone to freezing up, it is normally the software. If you go to a phone shop that does unlocking they can generally update the software for you to the newest version. The othe solution is go to Nokia web site and see if they can do an upgrade through their server, you will need the correct data lead to do this and make sure your battery is charged overnight before hand.
