Right, I wasnt sure where to put this but: Joe Dimaggio banned the Kennedys and the Rat Pack from attending Marilyns funeral. I know why the Kennedys were banned but does anyone know why The Rat Pack members were, esp as she was Filming with Dean Martin at the time of her death?? This has puzzled me and I have tried searching the net for answers but cant get anywhere! Any help would be appreciated!

As I understand it no Hollywood stars were invited to attend the funeral.

Joe DiMaggio believed Frank Sinatra, stooge of mafioso Sam Giancana, to be directly involved with Marilyn's death. Giancana is reputed to have ordered 'the hit', aided by the CIA and the Kennedys .

Conspiracy theories abound.
