But never had the nerve. I was out yesterday and bumped into a girl I've known for ages cause our kids were in the same class - anyway I found out she's a medium which I never knew before. Was she meant to tell me - am I meant to go to her ??? Hmmmm ?

I went to a medium years ago. I'm the biggest sceptic going- I even wore gloves so she wouldn't be able to tell whether or not I was married. I'd never clapped eyes on her in my life yet she knew practically everything about me. It was ultra scary.
What she said would happen did (hard to believe I Know). I asked her specifically about my best friend but she refused...

I went to a tarot card reader....in the back of a small dusty shop. It was scary....
Don't use someone you know......you will never really believe that what they say is genuine....is there someone you really need to contact ? Or do you just want reassurance your loved ones are ok?
Also....tell them as little as possible.

Prob my dad but it's not a big need it's more a curiosity. This girl doesn't know anything private about me - I would be nervous going
Don't go to any Medium who requires you to make an appointment. If they're any good they will have been expecting you.
I agree with Rowanwitch, even if she only knows you a little she still knows stuff about you that can be manipulated. I personally do not believe in this stuff, I once went to one out of curiosity when I was younger and going through a bad time. She said everything I expected and nothing specific. Your friend may be good at what she does but if you believe in this and want a true reading I would see someone you don't know, not even in passing then you can truly judge for yourself.

I wish I'd never consulted her in the first place. My advice is think very carefully before getting into something like this.
I only went to a tarot reader so he wasn't trying to contact dead people. What he told me was going to happen, happened. Coincidence???? who knows?
See.....

Lol - ok ok maybe I'll leave it for now
Hi pericat. Like Greedyfly I went to the medium when my life was pretty much rubbish. I guess I was hoping for some sign that things were going to get better. The woman I saw obviously had some sort of gift but, looking back, I wish I'd never gone - the whole experience gave me the creeps (still does when I think about it now).
That said, I'm sure most 'mediums' just spout a load of nonsense.
My advice is - don't do it . Save your money and buy yourself a nice treat instead:o)
There are some who believe that if you find a white feather in an unexpected place it is an all is well message from the 'other side' obviously anywhere outside doesn't count as birds get everywhere..

By the way a true medium probably won't charge as it would be abusing the gift
They can however accept a gift from you....I read the tarot (sometimes and only when needed) and never charge I only ask people I read for to give a little to charity at the first opportunity or to perform an act of kindnes for a stranger....
A friend and myself went - about 20 odd years ago - it was quite spooky - the tape the meeting and you can play it back at your leisure. Lots of things he got right and lots he got wrong. Everytime he told me something he kept looking up at the ceiling - not sure if it was the spirit he was seeing or a damp patch that needed seeing too.

Go with an open mind Peri. I have also been to a spiritulist church with a girl from work who did'nt want to go on her own. That was well spooky - the medium had a few messages for people and seemed quite accurate. Then she glanced over in my direction - my heart went into overdrive with excitment - but no message she just asked me if I would shut the window because the wind was blowing the artificial flower arrangement over. (:0 D

I think some people are more receptive than others.
