Viewers have complained to Ofcom following an on-air row between Sky News political editor Adam Boulton and Tony Blair's former communications director Alastair Campbell.

Sky News political editor Adam Boulton in an interview, screened live yesterday, Boulton accused Campbell of ‘not caring' about the country.

Boulton also asked Campbell if it is in the public's interest that Gordon Brown remains in office for a further four months.

Campbell then accused Boulton of being upset that David Cameron was not the Prime Minister, to which Boulton became visibly angry and replied: ‘I'm not upset, you are, you keep casting aspersions.'

During the heated exchange, which lasts two minutes, Campbell urges Boulton to ‘calm down'.

Ofcom confirmed it had received a number of complaints and was looking into the situation.

Boulton is married to Anji Hunter who used to be Blair's Aide under Campbell.

Now I wonder how well Angie and Cambell get on!

I've not seen the footage but judging by the reports Boulton just seems to lose it completely. Very unprofessional. Campbell must be well pleased with himself at having provoked that response from a journalist when it's supposed to work the other way around.

I watched it on YouTube earlier.

It was pretty funny. Boulton definitely lost it...and it was very slightly embarrassing - especially when Campbell reminded him, "Adam...you realise you're on television don't you?"

Why people are complaining is beyond me.
