Hi,

I have done some research on this but cant quite find the right answer.

Basically, their is a group of 4 girls in my office that cause disturbance with sillyness and childish behaviour throughout the day, causing some unhappy members of staff who have all complained to the CEO but nothing seems to get done. I just knew they must bitch about other members of staff as its just their nature, and so on Friday (knowing they were staying late) i left my dictaphone i use for minutes recording on my desk after i'd left for the day. Sue enough, within minutes they started slagging me off really nastily picking on my clothes and my personality etc, i also noticed they'd opened a bottle of wine after everyone had left and so were illegally drinking on the premises.

My issue is, now i have this evidence of their sheer horrible nature, and the fact they were drinking alcohol, but i dont know if i can use it to report it to my CEO.

Ive found information about using it in court, but thats not what i'm looking to do.

Can anyone advise??

Thank you

report it, give a copy of the dictaphone tape to the ceo and say - here is the evidence in b+w, now do something. they disrupt the office, offend others and are now drinking on company premises. it's your duty to ensure that workers toe the line. if you don't take the matter in hand, i may invoke the bullying/harrassment procedure and make it official. just be prepared for the fallout and remember that office politics is a minefield. you could also try an anonymous 'tip off' line if your company has one. but think carefully about the potential ramifications to yourself before donig anything and make sure you have union representation...good kuck x
Probably worth taking a copy of the tape, too, before you hand it over - just in case, it doesn't sound an agreeable place to work.
