When electric cars are mass produced and gliding silently along our roads an EU law will enforce a generated noise to be emitted to protect pedestrians.

These generated noises may cause more noise polution than at present. Do we really want the decision left to individuals to choose their own tunes? Mobile phone chimes are a noise most people can do without. What is the answer as the problem or car noise polution is nearly upon us?
