We are currently looking at the possibility of moving to the states and wondered if my drink drive ban would hamper my chances? I got a DR10 and was banned for 12 months in 2001. I have seen many posts in the past where people just get persecuted instead of their question answered. I was young and foolish back then and learnt my lesson so please just answer my question if you could. Thanks

Crimes involving drink driving are not classed as a crime of moral turpitude so won't effect anything.

that said, getting a visa to move to the states is a very complicated and drawn out procedure at the best of times so I wouldn't hold your breath.

My partner is a U.S. citizen and we have a 1 year old daughter. We plan to move thier after our appointment at the U.S. embassy for our daughters passport application. We have been advised that if we are married withi 3 months of getting over, i would be granted citizenship. If anyone knows any different or can give any advise it would be much apprieciated. Thanks
my brother is married to an American citizen and still spent 2 years getting his visa.
They didnt have a child though, but it was still a very long process.
Yes, very similar to that required to gain entry to the UK.
