yes, I have one altho I don't use it everyday. I only manage the 10 000 steps if I walk to and from work as well as all the bits in between. Not sure but I think it's a mile each way...

I have one and used it quite often but gave up after a while.  I used to do over and abover the 10k steps you are supposed to do a day, but I walk into and home from work everyday (which is 2miles each way) as well as about 50 laps around the office on a daily basis. I was actually quite surprised that despite the amount of walking I do on a daily basis it was only coming up to 14k, I thought it would be much much more.

I do about 12-16k aday (dog walking) apparently this should be all the exercise I need.I certainly feel fitter.
i used to use one but it recorded steps even when I was sitting still, so I binned it.
I used to work in retail and used a pedometer one day. I gave up when I'd walked 12,000 steps by mid afternoon!
I binned mine too Georgit.  I went for a three mile walk and it registered 76 steps!
My hubby went to the local paper shop and clocked up 400 steps on the way there. On the way back he clocked up over a thousand, using exactly the same route! (Except reversing it of course).

I bent down to tie my shoelace and clocked up ten steps. So we concluded that they are not very reliable and scrapped the idea.
