does anybody know how to connect a printer to a laptop I've connected both with a usb lead but it's asking for a cd or floppy disc

you will need to install the printer on the laptop, it should have come with a set-up CD ?

As Boxtops says you will need to install the drivers from the CD that came with the printer.

in the CD rom drive, you do have one ?

If your laptop has a CD drive it's usually a long door on the side or front.

ok, all is not lost yet, you could download the drivers from the makers website.

of if you have another PC you could copy the drivers to a pen drive then download them through a USB port.
