Hi i have an old rover metro 1994, the radio has lost its code after disconection of the battery. I have tried my Rover garage that was, but obviously after recent events they are unable to help. Can anyone help???

Hi sorry the Metro is a base model 1.1. its the standard stereo fitted to all of there hi class executive vehicles!

You can get the code from http://www.wigancars.co.uk They charged me �9.95 I think, and the service is wonderful.  You will need the type and serial number of the radio, which you will find stamped into the metal on the side once you have withdrawn it from the dashboard. (perhaps only a couple of inches so you don't have to disconnect.

A tip - write it down  immediately - I didn't due to an interruption and had to ring them back two weeks later.  To their credit, they looked up my original call in their daybook and gave it to me free!  That's what I mean about the service!
