Hi,

In 2007 I came into some money as I sold off my marital home after a divorce and then used the funds to buy a new property.
I was with a new partner then and I did not have enough income to afford a property in the area so we both took out a joint mortgage. I paid the deposit and the fee for the mortgage and all the money for the renovation. At the time my partner had just under £30,000 in debt and so I said I would lend her £8,000 to make it more affordable for her to move and afford her half of the mortgage payments.
This however had to be declared on the mortgage offer along with my debts and in the offer I said this debt would be paid off. We have since split up I did not have a deed of trust and my ex was willing to pay me back. Nearly a year went on and I sent her a letter re the m,oney owed solicitors then got involved and now the have quoted that for us to aquire the mortgage and house that debt had to be paid off and there was no deed of trust so that is that.
There is a statement showing the money transfer from my account into my ex's account.

Any one have any thoughts

Regards Tony
