Sat in the sun doing some essay writing two hours later woke up book on my face as red as a tomato.
I don't tan, any quick remedys to make the redness die down ?

Aloe Vera gel.

Smother your burnt bits with it.

It's fab ... much better than the proprietary "after sun" lotions.

You can get it from Holland & Barrett, and places like that.
I'm with JJ on that, excellent stuff, much better than aftersun. Body shop do it as well.
Everyone tans, it's natures way of protecting you. Also, it's a myth that as sunburn fades it turns to tan. Sunburn and tanning are two seperate things that happen at roughly the same time.
You needed Factor 30!
There are after sun creams/moisturisers.
Or wrap yourself in a cold wet towel

I use factor 6 or 8 at first.

Once I start tanning, I switch to 2 or 4.

My OH doesn't tan...he gets burnt in the winter.

Wow thanks guys, lots of solutions i'll have to try them. My tummys the worst very painful. Very silly of me.
