I am not very good with computers, but I have always had IE as my browser. When I had trouble with my avatar I decided to get firefox. Got my avatar no problems. Now when I view chat on IE I see bobbisox avatar as Bettyboop, but if I view through firefox I see a young lad. So is IE at fault or firefox or my computer? Don't speak in jargon, I won't understand. Thanks for reading. Cas

What Albags has been trying to tell you is that the avatar image is not stored at Answerbank, it is stored in the temparory Internet files of your browser. At Answerbank, where the image goes is a hotlink to your email address at gravatar which sends your avatar to the place where it appears, at the same time it is stored in your cache for future use so the image doesn't have to be downloaded all the time, your browser will retrieve it from your cache as a sort of cookie. Untill you clear your cache the (new) avatar showing at gravatar will not be downloaded as your computer thinks it already has the required image.

I think I've confused myself now lol
