Gravatar Username

Sorry if this has been answered already, too much to read through but here goes - registering on gravatar I can't use prudie as my username because it's taken. If I pick something else will I still show up as prudie on here? When will that username be displayed if at all?

it's the email address that has to match, the username doesn't matter.

I had to choose a different username for it than the one i use for here. It'll only be displayed on the Gravatar site.
