Considering the recent car bomb outside an MI5 base in Northern Ireland, and the recent Newry Courthouse bomb, is the security situation in the country deteriorating once again, or are these the acts of a few desperate dissident republicans trying to prevent change?

These latest outrages are nothing compared to the Omagh bomb when 29 people died. These dissident republicans can't see that the world has changed. They have nothing to offer the people of Ireland but death and injury.
