I am 66, female, not too healthy, on insulin for type 2 diabetes and weigh 11 stone. Height 5ft 3ins. The insulin puts weight on me, I know that but cannot do without it. If I started gentle exercise, what is the best time of day to do so, regarding food etc? I have tried personal training - it was too ambitious, I tried Pilates and was bored stiff.

To start with do run/jog and walk. 1 minute briskly walking and 1 minute jogging. Build up from there.....
have a look at this:

Thanks both.
As insulin can make you put on weight, make sure you're cutting right back on fats and of course sugars! Get active or as Michelle Obama says 'Let's move!' Keep yourself up on your feet as much as possible; walk to places, keep up on the housework, sort the garden, don't ask others to do things,YOU do it .... this all helps without having to have a fitness programme you're not interested in. Exercise should be fun, if it's not, try something else.
