When you buy a house, how much percent deposit do you need to pay?

It will depend on the mortgage company and the type of mortgage on offer. Just have a look around on the internet and you will soon get a fair idea.

Thank you both. I just want to know what the average percentage would be, as this is a hypothetical question.

At the minute you need a minimum 10% deposit and the best deals are for 40% or more.
