Windows 7 Startup Tune

When I used XP I had a nice little .wav file that said 'welcome' when I booted my system. Now, Windows 7 is supposed to be better and more advanced, so why can't I by-pass the startup tune? I can untick the box and not have it play, but I can't replace it and put my old welcome sound in it's place.
Any ideas , please
Cheers

Sorry ChuckFickens, this doesn't work.I removed the tick and used a 'Welcome' voice (.wav) format in the 'Log On' and still-SILENCE
