Can anyone tell me how I can tell for sure if I have a first edition.

The book in question is in excellent condition (which makes me think it's too good to be true) and has the dust cover with original artwork on. there is no print number sequence on the title pages, just an ISBN number. It is an american copy of the book and the only year stated on the title pages is 1990 (copywritted to Particia Daniels Cornwell)

The only thing I can think of is to look at the inside of dust cover and if in the front or back you see "book club" you are out of luck.
