rusty water leaking from car

i have a problem with rusty water leaking from the car after it has been used.i have been told it could be the head gasket or the water pump.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

water pump not working... car temp guage rises to hot.
head gasket leaking.. take off oil filler cap and see if yellowish or whitish gunge.
It could be a leak from the radiator.

Try looking under the car and see if you can see anything.
A blown head gasket lets water INTO your engine which is then blown out the exhaust as steam.. this can account for mystery loss of coolant without an obvious leak.

Water pumps can leak and so can radiators.. or it could just be a perished hose.

Very hard to tell without looking at the car though..
