As we have now received my partners last wage slip for the tax year, i have given his earnings on it to the tax credits office. He had another job sometime last year, but until his P60 comes, i can't give them his full earnings. Is that ok?

Give them an estimate....
Give them an estimate so that they take something into account until the P60 arrives. When it does, submit asnd they will make any changes to payments needed then.
yes give an estimate and i would personally add a bit onto what you think, otherwise you may end up haveing to pay some back
