Does anyone know of any restaurants in Paris that sell really good French cuisine and aren't too pricey? I lived there for 6 months so you'd think I would know, but it was a while ago now and I've forgotten what they're all called..

Any ideas would be great, thanks!

Try Chartier. Lots of French people eat there. Service is basic but the food is very good.

Try les trois petit couchons, its in Rue Tictonique(sp?)

between rue St Dennis and Rue Montiguiel south end.

Its a gay resteraunt but the food is great and it has a mixed clientel

when i went there, i found the better resturants were the ones on side streets and not on the main roads.
when i was last there 4 years ago they had a floating resturant that cruised up the seine, it was lovely at night
when i went to paris on honeymoon, my husband and i spent most of our evenings in the student quarter - by the notre dame. Loads of side streets full of great restaurants, and not expensive!

I ate at Bofinger a couple of years ago - great atmosphere, great food.  Did notice though they'd started doing tapas which I wouldn't bother with but they still do classic French cooking, impecable service, see link
