Hi,

This is very embarrassing but since I had my second child, I have found that my inner labia are too long. I could almost tie them in a knot.

They even hang out the sides of my knickers now! I am resembling a wrinkled dog 'down there'. I've not yet done the deed since having my daughter and am worried about my husband seeing me.

Is it worth going to the doctors about this?

Thanks (and sorry, TMI I know but I couldn't talk to anyone about this)

they had something similar on Embarrassing Bodies, and the lady had surgery to correct the problem. she was delighted with the result.
Don't get anything done with them. They'll give your partner something to chew on .
go to your g.p x
Seriously - you can have them "shortened". Have a word with your GP, he can refer you.
OOP!! LOLOUDY!!! ;0)
I feel for you. They must be uncomfortable when you walk around in the knack. You can get the op done to shorten them. It's a quick and easy operation I believe. Get dowm to your gp forthwith....
Very constructive answers from zac and sandy there - your compassion knows no bounds guys !!!
Bucket - you can get your labia trimmed if they bother you too much. BTW - the username - is that a reference to the other part of your lady bits? That happens after pregnancy too, unfortunately.
What a load of trollocks!!

Thanks for the sensible answers/advice from some of you.

Lol Sallas, I work seaside shop selling them!

I think I will go to the doctors next week, it's really getting me down now and want to get it sorted soon. I'll speak to my hubby after I've been to the docs. Thanks guys
lol. Seriously, I work for a GP Practice, and your problem is not uncommon. THere is an op you can have - but I would think seriously about it, it must be painful. I'm sure your husband won't give a monkeys - men don't let things like that bother them. Go to the doctors for an opinion, but I wouldn't worry too much - after all, how many people are going to actually see them?!!
On the contrary, I don't think all aspects of genital surgery are painful .. Ages ago, I saw one girl having this surgery, and it was stated that it was not painful .. more uncomfortable. I'd rather have this than the piles op!!
I am a bloke tho.
Have the op and donate surplus for ear transplant. Nicki Lauda amongst others may be interested.
I am sure you who have anaesthetic, don't worry about that!
