Mr Veritas I think you hit the nail on the head when you said " We have had immigrants for over a thousand years " most of whom were of a European culture and adapted easily to the slight differences in this country. Also that adaptation took place as you say over a thousand years . Not as now ten million immigrants in 30 odd years. Most of whom have not adapted to us but keep their own culture.
