Why do these suspected terrorists refuse to sue the US who were holding them? Instead they prefer to vent their anger on their home countries who had little part in it. As we have quite a few who have been returned to the UK can we expect to be involved in law suits for compensation?

"their home countries who had little part in it."
All the evidence would seem to indicate that their home countries played a major role

Rojash you haven't answered the question. The yanks were responsible for the torture, why don't the detainees start there?
Because we are a soft touch of course. They would get laughed out of court in the USA, here they'll get millions in compensation.

Presumably you are Australian?

I think your right beanebabe. In the UK we even give them help to sue our own government with legal aid. Then you get the EU human rights laws. And to top it all you get the lefties trying to discredit our government.

Like you say in the US they would get laughed out of court and would probably have to have a trial there to prove their innocence. But there is no smoke without fire and who really believe they are pure white?
The problem is that the UK is not the home country for most of this lot seeking to sue the UK Government - Binyam Mohamed is from some fly-blown African nation - was allowed into the UK as a visitor - he then went to Afghanistan or Pakistan to allegedly try to cure himself of drug addiction when he was arrested by US authorities. Why is he back here?? Why was he accepted into the Uk again? Not our problem
