Does anyone know if stress/certain problems in your life can cause your body to have illnesses in parts of the body relating to the cause of the problem...ie if you have a problem with a male in your life your knee may ache ( example only ). I read about it approx a year ago but lost the book and can't find any other books about it...many thanks

Psychosomatic illness is quite common, and stress can indeed bring on physical symptoms. Indeed, certain types of bodily disease such as psoriasis have a stress-related origin. Treatment can include both physical treatment for the actual symptoms and either psychiatric / psychological or spiritual treatment for the underlying 'stress' cause.
how do men relate to knees?

Author Louise Hay included a table of causes of various ailments in a couple of her books, and listed specific affirmations to help cure them. She also mentioned pains in the left side relating to female issues and pains in the right hand side relating to unresolved male issues (or was it the other way round?). Anyway, the upshot of her ideas is that if your mindset is out of balance somehow (e.g. unresolved childhood issues) then this will show up in your body. She even claims terminal diseases like AIDS and Cancer are caused by unforgiveness and can be cured with the right mental attitude. I can see how that might work with cancer, but AIDS is caused by a virus - a mental attitude might help or hinder healing, but wouldn't actually cause it.  Anyway, for what it's worth the book is called "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay. She has a website http://www.hayhouse.com/ and you can get her books from most bookstores.
