My son sat on the remote control for our tv, and since then there has been a "EC/HDMI1" in the top left of the screen and we can't get rid of it.

Does anyone know how to remove it, because we can't find anything in the manual.

It use to be the call button on many remotes, have you tried the exit button on the viera, have looked at the manual but can't see anything similar

Have just found this in the UK version of the Viera TX-P42G10B TX-P46G10B TX-P50G10B

"If the above information is permanently displayed on the top left of the screen, press the button to clear"

Thank you both very much. Managed to get rid of it by pressing "TV/AV" then "i"
The manual is very handy.
