Your right JJ - I saw them give the sh!t flowers to the 2nd and 3rd places and thought, right when its Amy's turn she will get a bigger bunch. I bet they popped out to the local garage and picked up a few bunches on the quick.

I can't think that the athletes would want to keep those crappy little flowers.

They probably just hand them back in, ready for the next presentation.
