just wondering if the King's Mill advert with Elvis in it is a ****-take...anyone knows anything about it?

It is a set-up, but it's an easy mistake to make - as the advertisers intend.

Elvis did land at Prestwick airport- the only time he was ever in Britain (I think).  But of course it's a p1ss take.....The advert never actually refers to Elvis......they only call him 'the king'

Just a funny situation but I went into the Kingsmill Bread factory in Glasgow last week on business and in the reception area is a board with all the major employees names and and IN / OUT option where they obviously have to record their attendance as in or out of the factory. Half way down is the name E Presley and marked as "OUT". Some wag had added next to it in the notes column in felt pen --  " has left the building"

It's all totally true. Elvis Presley started a bread factory and made TV adverts for it back in the early 1960s, but the entire population of the world forgot about it until now due to the effect of the memory-wiping ray that the aliens zapped Earth with in 1963 (just after they killed JFK).
