I have bluetooth on my samsung mobile phone but I don't have bluetooth on my laptop , is there a free bluetooth software download that i can get to enable me to transfer pictures from my phone to the laptop via bluetooth?

Get yourself a Bluetooth Dongle... couple of quid on ebay...

yes I've got one of those but since I did a reset on this laptop i haven;'t got the blue soliel disc to re-install it, at least t i can;'t find it, plus the usb port on the laptop is dodgy so it never worked very well anyway.

Bluetooth is hardware. If your laptop does not have it pre-installed the only way to get it is through a dongle. There is no software prog that can handle it without the hardware.

dot... did your phone come with a USB cable? or is there one available (again, look on ebay)...

Not being the least bit techie I gave up trying to download my photos even by the USB cable as my PC didn't like the Sony software I loaded.....I now email my pics from my phone to my laptop, that's how bad I am.....:-(

You don't always have to use the associated software. When the phone is connected via USB cable an icon appears on the desktop (well it does for me on a Mac) which you can then open and simply 'drag and drop' the files to your PC...

There is a cable and a cd with the software i need but the usb ports are all either not working or work occasionally on this laptop, i use email same as you craft as it always works!
